Who I Admire by Jeff Maner
In the world there are those who are idealized and respected for what they do. When I visualize the person I truly admire, I see a U.S. Marine. This Marine is proud and strong as well as willing to sacrifice personal safety to protect us. The Marines and other branches of military produce people with qualities of similar basis but none compare to her. Yes that's right, the person, the Marine, I admire is a girl and she is also my big sister.
Tammy has always been dedicated to family, friends, and her sense of duty. She is divorced and has two children. She decided to care for her children even though it brought her into hard and stressfull times instead of giving them up. Another reason too that I admire her is her choice to join the Marines even over our parents disapproval and her physical physicque. She is also one to support others dreams such as my choice to join the Marine Corps. I told her about the Corps and how it reminded me of her and thats when she joined right after me. Anyone willing to follow "Baby Brother's" footsteps has my admiration especially when its my Big Sister.
