Brothers Serve Together In Army In Vietnam DutyU. S. Army, Vietnam Army Specialist Ray M. Maner and John W. Maner, of Villa Rica, are serving together in Vietnam. The older brother, John, is on his second tour in Vietnam. He served in 1968 with the 25th Infantry at Cu Chi where he was awarded two Bronze Stars with 'V' device for heroism, and a purple heart. John worked as a truck driver before entering the service in 1967. He is now working under a supply MOS with the 128th Signal Co. in Cam Ranh Bay. He will terminate his enlistment in August, 1970. The younger Maner, Ray, was assigned to the 128th Signal Co. in May of 1969, after serving six months with the 1st Bn. 333rd Artilary at Ft. Bliss, Texas. Ray worked as an Electronics Technician with the American Tel. & Tel. Co., in Atlanta before entering the service, he graduated from North Georgia Technical and Vocational School in Clarksville, Georgia in June 1968. He is a 1966 graduate of Villa Rica High School. He is now working as an Electronics Repair Technician with the U. S. Army for the 128th Signal Co. at Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. The brothers will serve together in the 128th Signal Co. until Ray returns home this May to terminate his service obligation. The parents of John and Ray are Mr.and Mrs. J.E. Maner.
